Meet Our Team

Dr. Daniel Armstrong
Dr. Dan was born and raised in Lancaster, and as the son of a veterinarian, grew up spending most of his time in and around the animal clinic.  He graduated from Liberty University where he met his wonderful wife Kate, and graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018.  He says he knew from a young age that the wanted to be a veterinarian not just because of his dad, not just because of his love of animals, but he also enjoys working in a fun environment that can strengthen the human-animal bond.  When not at work, he enjoys spending time with is wife and three kids.  "Even though they take up all my time, I wouldn't want it any other way."

Bryton
Office Manager
Bryton has been working with animals since 2012.  She started out working at a feline only practice for 7 years before moving to the Northern Neck in 2019 with her husband, 2 dogs and her cat.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two sons, visiting state parks, and traveling.

Emily
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Emily was born and raised here in the NNK.  She graduated from veterinary technician school in 2017 from Northern Virginia Community College.  In her free time she enjoys going to her barn riding her horses, playing with her dogs, and spending time on the boat.

Laurie
Veterinary Assistant
Laurie is married, has two successful children, and has been with the Heathsville Animal Clinic for 29 years.  She says that "working there as been a privilege and a blessing to be employed by such wonderful doctors, it is a family atmosphere."  In her spare time she loves to travel, read and go for walks with her dogs in the beautiful countryside.

Receptionist
Ruth was born and raised in Northumberland County.  She loves her job and the people she works with.  In her free time she enjoys working in her garden and going for walks with her dog Gunsmoke.

Cassie was born and raised in the Northern Neck.  She graduated high school in 2018 and is current enrolled in the veterinary technician program.  She did not choose this profession just because of her love for animals, she also grew up regularly going to work with her mom.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and her four legged fur-babies, going to the beach, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
